Norfolk Open Championships
(Silver)

Aladdin Sadiq falls short of Gold by 3 points. He comes back with silver. A huge improvement to his 7th place last year.

Cecile & Prisca scored their first points on the National ranking list, following Jon earlier in York Open. But still early days. It is still very much training time and they will not be content with few points of today.

Ladder Cup Summer
Jon Gal (Gold)

Jonathan Gal comes Victorious in the Ladder Cup Spring 2001. After 40 bouts of close contests on the hot Wednesday evening of the 27th of June.

Hans Odd came second with 31 points and Kristina Kovec 3rd place 28 points.

Academy Team

Bristol Team Championships
Winning (Gold)

The Musketeers team were on top form. They have now stamped their authority on the under 11 juniors in the UK with a gold medal in Bristol.

Earlier in December The team became the London Champions when beating all their opponents to hold the title.

Academy Team

York Open (Gold) & (Silver)

On Saturday May 22nd, the Academy team returned back to London with a Gold & Silver medals.

Aladdin Sadiq claimed the gold medal and the full size samurai sword for the men's foil title, while Martina Emanuel conceded to 2nd place with only one hit difference. She took silver.

Westminster Youth Games
Gold

Martina Emanuel Wins Gold at the Westminister Youth Games that followed the Musketeers Open Day fencing for children.

She fought Zaid Hadi in the finals to get the title after an excititing match.

Christopher Robert

Bristol Junior Championships (Silver)

On Saturday May 5th. Christopher Robert (under 11), of the Academy's Musketeers Club, fought his way to finals of the Bristol Junior Championships. He finish 2nd and claim his silver medal. On his way to the finals he beat both British no. 3 & British number 2.

This has been one of his best performances yet, since his Under 9 silver medal 2 years ago.

Jonathan Gal Prisca Heer

Men's & Ladies (Silver) medalists -National Qualifiers>

On March 25th, Jonathan Gal & Prisca Heer of the Academy's Social Club showed a great performance to take a silver medal each at the London Qualifier to the national intermediates.

Jonathan could not be part of the team to the London league, but he managed to join the Singapore's National novice team, who took the title earlier in the year. Prisca was in the runner up team at the London league early in January. Another silver medal.

Andrea Varotsis

(Bronze) at the Eton Junior Championships>

On March 18th young Andrea Varotsis, took a bronze medal by coming third in the Eton Junior championships in his best performance ever. He was the youngest in his age group of under 13, still proved worthy of the challenge.

He adds that to his recent success as a team claiming gold in the London team champions for under 11.

The Academy's Social club team became the London league team champions for 2001, when they fenced to win the title on Sunday the 28th of January 2001.

U11- 2001 (Gold)

The Academy's young Musketeers team became the London team champions for the under 11 when they fenced to beat 8 teams out of 9 with commanding scores.

Team members are:
