James Davies a usual suspect to win against an unusual suspect Aladdin Sadiq in the finals. It is good to see Tony Bartlett making it to foil events. There was disappointment for both Thomas Hendrie and Peter Barwell who failed to make the finals.

Thomas Hendrie could not overcome the eventual winner Lindsay Watkiss in the finals, who narrowly beat Aladdin Sadiq in the semi-finals. Gerard Lavin was the outsider who made Bronze.

2007:
Richard Kruse is keeping his No.1 spot on the senior ranking list with only one result on home soil and that is the National Championships.

An impressive Hussain Rosowsky goes from 308th place last year to 12th this year and a bronze medal at the Senior National Championships.

After some absence from fencing Marc Bengry make it back to 10th place and after a much longer absence Aladdin Sadiq makes the top 50.

In men's foil Salle Boston is down to 30th place, but in Women's foil they hold 1st place.

After nearly three decades of service to British Fencing Ziemek Wojchiechowski has now retired. Some of the results of his students include Bronze medallist Ben Montegue at the Cadet World Championships in 1997 and twice 8th place for Richard Kruze in Athens Olympics in 2006 and in Havana World Championships in 2004.
